Key Concepts & Intuitions
You don't need a computer science degree to understand how AI works at a conceptual level - and having that understanding will make you a better judge of AI products, claims, and risks. The core ideas behind AI are more accessible than most people think. Pattern recognition, probability, statistical prediction - these are concepts you already use intuitively every day. The difference is that AI systems apply them at enormous scale and speed, which creates both their power and their characteristic failure modes. Getting comfortable with these concepts doesn't mean learning to code or understanding the mathematics. It means developing reliable intuitions about what AI systems are actually doing under the hood, so you can predict when they'll work well, when they'll struggle, and why they sometimes produce results that seem impressively clever and bafflingly stupid in the same conversation.
